Last week we discussed how to customise your Microgaming Slots Experience and we had numerous queries regarding the customisation of other casino games, and it’s not only slots that can be tailored to fit your specific needs and preferences. Every aspect from sound to screen size can be adjusted on table games too. This week however, we’re taking a look at one setting that seems to be very popular, namely the card dealing speed in table games like blackjack, poker and baccarat.
Many players love the slower paced games where they can see cards leaving the shoe and appearing on the table in front of them, some seasoned casino players however, have grown weary of the pace of card games offered by online casinos and have mentioned to us that they’d like to speed up the game a little. With the new customisation options offered by most casinos, you can do just that! You just need to know where to look!
Casinos offer a variety of speed settings from slow and medium to fast and very fast. In the fastest mode, players can disable animations of the cards, making them appear in front of them instantly once the “deal” button is pushed.
Each software provider offers slightly different mechanisms for altering card speed and its associated animation, so we’ve decided to review some of the options from the two leading software providers in the industry below:
Microgaming Powered Casinos
At Microgaming powered casinos like Royal Vegas Casino you will only be able to adjust the card speed settings once the specific game is open. You then select the options button which will open a screen (see screenshot below). Click on “General” options and you will see the speed settings (slow, medium, fast and fastest) and select your desired speed. If you want to turn off the card animation click “Quick Deal” towards the bottom of the box. You will also notice that you can select the sound settings on this screen and switch off the casino background sounds if necessary. Switching off the game sounds is an option for those who require it, but usually it’s best to leave all audio on as it definitely adds to the enjoyment of the game.
Playtech Powered Casinos
Playtech powered casinos like Europa Casino allow players to customise their games from the casino lobby and within the game itself. If in the lobby, click on the “options” button situated on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, a new box will appear (see screenshot below) and you must then click “Game Options” and adjust the card speed by clicking on the plus (+) or minus (-) icons labelled “game speed” to speed up or slow down the game. Should you wish to disable the game’s animation, select the “Fast Play (Play without animation)” option.
The same settings can be accessed from within a game by clicking on the “menu” button and then choosing the “options” tab.
As you can see from the above, it’s quick and easy to tailor casinos games to the way you want them with a few simple adjustments and if you don’t like your tweaked settings, you can always reset them to default without any problems at all. So next time you enjoy your favourite card games, remember, you have the power to make it the best for you!
